February 2007 - New Product Release: EchoMop Recycled PET Wet Mops

The O'Dell Corporation introduces the first wet mop produced from recycled PET synthetic fibers.
The EchoMop is manufactured using EarthSpun™ yarn, derived from plastic bottles. EchoMop absorbs 4.4 times its weight in water and dries exceptionally fast. It dries 100% overnight, lasts longer, and exhibits half the weight loss in laundry than competitive yarns.

The positive environmental impact of using this product is very measurable. If each ISSA distributor member were to place 48 large EchoMops into the workplace each month, nearly 9 million plastic bottles would be kept out of landfills annually. In addition, 2,480 barrels of oil, the equivalent of 117,480 gallons of gasoline, would be conserved and green house gas emissions would be reduced by 1,076 metric tons.
