Choosing the right wet mop for your requirements.
Headband
Widebands: May be laundered many times and used with all handle styles. Standard widebands are made of 5 inch vinyl coated nylon mesh for strength and to facilitate speedy drying.
Narrowbands: Constructed of 1 1/4 inch polyester tape that is usually placed on the economical cut end mopheads. Woven poly headbands are also in 7, 8, and 9 inch widths.
Yarn
Choose cotton, rayon, synthetic, blended yarn, microfiber and microfiber/synthetic blends, depending on the application (see below).
Tailband
Tailbands prevent tangling and extend a mop's functional life. They provide wider floor coverage per pass and less streaking, which equals faster mopping and reduced labor.

Cut end: Lower in cost and disposable
Looped end: More durable and launderable
